I wonder how Brutal Legend is doing? Tim Schafer excels at making great games that flop commercially, its what he does.
This game has so much going for it. I can't wait to dive into it.
That game engine is showing its age, but I still love this serious as a mind numbing old school style twitch shooter. I'll check it out.
Takin gross to a whole new level.
I'm still not on the Blu Ray train, but with the prices falling its becoming harder and harder to ignore its appeal.
Just what gamers need, another story how some idiot perpetrated violence because of a game.
The man obviously has far deeper issues.
Great editorial. We could have a massive discussion about what makes a game "art". Do you need to tackle that sensitive subject matter normally reserved for other mediums in order to legitimize games as an art form? I think the point is made here that you really don't. Games are a different medium, rather than an attempt to blend in, maybe we should embrace our uniqueness.
Life as a game journalist is just so hard. Having to play games you would rather not play is so much worse than getting a regular 9 to 5. Cry me a river.
That minimum spec can't get you more than 640X480 at 30 FPS. Not very useful.
I'm not expecting this to be a monster to run, but honestly you will want a little more PC than that to get this thing running well. COD4 benefited from a decent modern graphics card to aide with some of the smoke effects and such. Some of the open areas with a long draw distance and heavy smoke were actually fairly tough on the system. Even if its a tweaked engine, I would suggest at least having a 88...
Seriously, the hottest article on N4G has a feature image with a 16 bit era Jake the Snake and Mr. Perfect Curt Henning? Slow news day?
WOW!!!
I think I will horrify my wife and grow one.

Just because we have always had servers does not make it an entitlement. Matchmaking through a backbone has some advantages, and some disadvantages. Certain games do it really well, Halo 3 on the 360 has a pretty solid system for matchmaking across the backbone while not interfering with your ability to meet your friends online. I can see where dedicated servers will be missed in certain exclusive community's, but for most gamers I think its going to make online gaming a little easier to appr...
After initial problems with a Vista upgrade early on I went back to ole reliable XP for a while, and I had a decent machine and know what I am doing around a computer.
Now, that was then and this is now, I'm rockin the retail version of Windows 7 right now on day number one, and its so sexy. I would bust a move on Windows 7 too if I were not married.
Joking aside, Microsoft learned allot about what not to do over the past 2-1/2 years. Ballmer made Seven top priorit...
Windows 7 is just so sexy. Vista's early demise = tears of joy.
Considering the various revenue streams Live gives Microsoft, the movies, the banner advertising, the self promotion of other product, the live arcade, the idea that people are still paying $50 a year for it is absurd. It should be free supported by their other revenue streams. They are not going to hike the price.
I just mean that on the PC I am in control of what hardware and peripherals I choose. I like my freedom.
dreamhunk, AMD is not going under. They invested billions in a new chip fab, on US soil no less. AMD had a tough run in 2007/2008, but they are far from going under.
Nothing says pro like the gratuitous use of the slang term douchebag. Stay classy my brotha!
